Our Ministries
-
Women's Ministry
The women of the ELCA meet each month for fellowship and discussion. Bible study, organizing, fundraising, and caring for the community are at the heart of all they do.
-
Youth & Young Adult Ministry
Christ the Shepherd participates in the ELCA Youth Ministry Network. A network dedicated to the formation of youth & young adults and an emphasis on family ministry.
-
Exceptional Ministries
Our Exceptional Ministries are part of the network of disability ministries in the ELCA. Tailored to meet the growing needs of our community and ever expanding to be welcoming and inclusive of all abilities.
-
CTS Senior Ministries
CTS is a place with a long rich history of caring for the community and each other. This is why for us it is important that we continue that care well into the latter years of our community members. The backbone that has sustained us through the years.
-
A.C.T.S. Food Pantry
CTS is part of a collaborative community effort to address food insecurity. We partner with other faith communities to provide food justice and care to the marginalized and unhoused neighbors that reside here in need.
-
12 Step Groups
CTS partners with on site recovery groups that meet each week to care for those suffering with addictions in their healing and recovery process.
-
CTS Craft Ministry
The CTS Craft Ministry meets weekly to connect and learn different crafts. These crafts will be used to help those in need, bring joy to the community and to fundraise for events. Through this ministry we are building community and offering skills that can be used to help others generate smiles or even extra income to cover the high rise of costs. All are welcomed to be a part.
-
Visitation Ministry
At CTS we feel its is important that everyone feel included. Because of this we have put together a team of caring members who undergo training to act as a lifeline between the church and those who could not attend in person. This includes the sick & shut in, those confined to homes, prisons, detention centers, and hospitals.
-
Outreach Ministry
Ministry is not meant to be confined to the walls of the church. Here at CTS we believe in meeting people where they are and being an inviting place where all can feel welcomed. Our outreach ministry takes delight in hosting events and attending events where we can share and connect to the broader church and serve the community in need. We are using our hands to do God’s work in the world as it was intended for us to do.
